Fred Longworth High School will receive £10,422 for the Catch Up Premium in 2016-17. This money will be used to support students who did not reach L4 in English and/or Maths.
The money will be used primarily to fund literacy interventions with this group of students in order to improve their access to the curriculum. Interventions include targeted TA provision, the Reading Plus Scheme, Lexia Reading and Toe by Toe Reading intervention. Students will be withdrawn from lessons to attend 1-1 intervention sessions.
For students below L4 in Mathematics the money will be used to fund intervention in class twice a week during form time. A ‘Numeracy Workout’ programme will be used during these sessions.
