Things to celebrate
- This Is our last Freddie’s Focus of the year, therefore we would like to thank all parents and carers for their support and for taking the time to read our weekly bulletin. We hope that you have found FF for Parents and Carers useful in terms of enhancing our home school partnership.
- On Monday night we held our Student Led Conferences. We were very proud of all of our students who articulated their learning journey so well. Thanks to all of you for your attendance at this event. A link to a Microsoft Forms questionnaire has been sent out. Your feedback would be hugely appreciated.
- On Thursday night we hosted our Summer Concert which involved over 100 students and staff. It was an incredible event and wonderful to see so many of you there.

Homework and Self-directed study
Summer homework for our Year 10 students will be set once again this year:
We feel strongly that this is a good way of ensuring that our students maintain good study habits in preparation for their final year at school. Their effort and engagement with summer homework will be graded on return in September and shared with parents and carers in the first set of Year 11 reports which are published in October.
Personal Development
Over the next few weeks as part of our work on developing character we will be focusing on Empathy. If students have empathy, they will help and understand each other better, and learn to live in a rich and diverse community. We also want all students to feel that this is their school and they belong here. Key information on ‘having empathy’ is included below.
