Dear Parent/Guardian
Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, we will not be holding our Year 9 Parents’ Evening in person as planned. Instead, we will run the evening remotely. In spite of the change, the evening will still provide an opportunity for you to discuss with their subject teachers your child’s progress since September and their targets for further improvement. As your child will be taking their GCSE options this year, a key point for discussions during the evening will also be your child’s option choices. More information about this process and the subjects available will be circulated in due course.
The evening will be conducted using the internet based booking system School Cloud. Using this system, you will be able to book the appointments at a time that suits you best. You can access the system from any internet connected device and your appointment will take place via a video conferencing link.
The majority of appointment slots will be available between 4:30pm and 9pm. There also may be some appointments available during the school day; however, this will be dependent on staff teaching timetables on that day. Individual staff availability will be made available to you through the link provided. Appointments will last for 5 minutes. It is advised that you are online and ready for your appointment a few minutes before. At the end of the allocated time slot, the appointment will end. As the appointments are time limited, we would also advise that if you have any specific questions, you prepare these beforehand.
You will be able to book appointments from 5pm on Thursday 27th January 2022.
The closing date for booking appointments will be 8pm on Wednesday 2nd February 2022.
