Letter from Headteacher – 14/09/21

September2021

Dear Parent/Carer

As you may be aware, our annual Open Evening for prospective students and their parents takes place on Thursday, 23rd September. This important event is our opportunity to show what the school has to offer. Many of our current students volunteer to be here on the night and we are always delighted that so many of them are willing to give up their time to help out in this way. If your child volunteers to take part, they will either act as a guide to take parents around the school, or will be attached to a Faculty. We will, of course, require your permission and we ask that students who have NOT volunteered do not attend the event without adult supervision.

As in previous years, school will close just after 2.00pm on Thursday, 23rd September to give time for the building to be prepared in time for a 4.30pm start. I am sure that you can understand that we need the time to ensure that the school looks at its absolute best, but please let us know if you wish your child to stay on the premises until 3.00pm and this will be arranged. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Finally, may I remind you that we strongly advise against dropping off or picking up your child at the bottom of Printshop Lane. As you are aware, Printshop Lane is effectively a single track road at the bottom and at the beginning and end of the day it is full of students entering or leaving the site. Whilst we have created a separate path for students, it would be even safer if there were fewer cars in this confined space.

Yours sincerely

Mr P Davies
