Internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and creative artist Jordan James Bridge is one of Fred Longworth High School’s most inspiring success stories. A student at the school between 2004 and 2009, Jordan discovered his passion for dance at Freddie’s and has since built a remarkable career working across stage performance, film and the fashion industry.
Jordan’s journey began under the guidance of Mrs Keeley McPhail, Head of Dance at Fred Longworth High School. Recognising his potential from an early age, she encouraged him to take every opportunity available and helped nurture the confidence, discipline and ambition that would become the foundation of his success. Jordan has often acknowledged the significant role Mrs McPhail played in his development, describing her support and encouragement as instrumental in helping him pursue a career in dance.

Inspired by professional dance workshops brought into school and by the vibrant arts culture at Freddie’s, Jordan excelled in dance studies before progressing to specialist training in London. His career has since taken him to prestigious stages and projects around the world, earning acclaim as both a performer and choreographer.

In 2025, Fred Longworth High School honoured Jordan’s achievements by naming its dance facility The Jordan James Bridge Dance Studio. During a special visit to his former school, Jordan officially opened the studio, led workshops for students and shared his story at the school’s Prize Giving Evening. The studio stands as a lasting tribute to his achievements and as a daily reminder to students that passion, perseverance and hard work can turn dreams into reality.
